Happy Fit Friday! ⚡️

Today marks 30 days away from the TCS New York City marathon and I couldn’t be more excited! It also marks day 283 of my #runstreak. I often get asked how I manage to stay injury free since I run every day, just ran a 100 miler, and now am working on speed. I think the key is dialing it back on easy days and doing work on the days that matter. Never increasing speed and mileage too much, but staying consistent. Some days only call for 20-30 minutes of a recovery run… and, even if I’m feeling good - I still dial back the pace. Key is not sacrificing the hard key workouts for easy ones. And – make the foam roller your bff! ✌️

After an 81 mile weekend … I’ve been giving my legs some rest (which means one mile days to keep my #runstreak alive). Surprisingly, this always helps with my recovery and my legs are feeling good! My bruised toes however, do not like me so much. Could be all the downhill running 19k gain and loss from Squamish.

15 days 6 hours until Wasatch 100. ⚡️
