Summer in the city still be strange for me: linden blossom is just smell here.
Clarification for city guys: in the village garden, I know the linden has blooming firstly by hum of bees, smell comes later; the sound really fill air almost full day (24 hours).

That was the only one day when I had a whole one hour for lazy getting tan in 3 weeks. But no regrets! - A lot of garden work has been done (and a lot hasn’t been but it’s its permanent condition).

Not to brag but it’s a bucolic summer evening, the sun is setting, and I’m listening to birds chirp as I admire the sun setting over the wild yellow roses that grow in our backyard. A wee snowy wander around Aberlour.
Sadly the snow didn’t stick around and we’re back to blue skies and sunshine ☀️ It really has been a strange winter this year, so much warmer than usual. With the evenings getting a little bit lighter, it’s been so nice to get out and about again. I can’t wait for Spring to arrive …
Aberlour is a beautiful town to visit and only a 20 minute drive from our holiday let cottage. It’s famous for its shortbread and whisky, but also has some lovely shops and a beautiful riverside park to explore. I’d highly recommend popping into the Spey Larder if you’re ever in the area, it’s a wonderful delicatessen with a wide variety of specialty foods … so yummy.
