i definitely think it’s going to be a reveal that he was mind controlling people the entire time but idk

I’m hoping so, because otherwise it’s kinda disappointing.

And I’m not happy with a number of other changes in general. Crystal going from the Only Sane/Decent Woman to just as classist/jerkish as everyone else? Karnak going from being an interesting exploration on what it’s like to be “badass normal” in a world full of change and powers being the actual norm, to just another person with powers?

I feel kinda bad that my “everything I like has bad things happen to it” luck kicked in, because I’m sad seeing Inhumans get such a questionable adaptation when it really needed to win the crowd back.

In less gushing thoughts, am I the only one kinda weirded out by how they seem to be giving Maximus the canon Draco in Leather Pants treatment in the Inhumans TV series?

Maximus being a creepy lying bastard just stringing everyone along for his own purposes including sometimes literally with his mind control powers is 100% of why the character is fun. Making him a creepy sincere bastard with no powers doesn’t seem anywhere near as fun. I don’t have access to watch the series yet so I’m stuck going off secondhand stuff; is that really what they’re doing with the character?
