Y’know, I’d said on Twitter that if Toyotaro really wanted to impart the whole “Saiyan Pride” lesson again, that he should have done it without having to regress Goku and Vegeta as there were other characters in the series with no real grasp of the concept, and… it completely slipped my mind that the anime did just that? lol
Cabba was a Saiyan to whom the concept was alien. Goten and/or Trunks could have served a similar role in the manga, but… eh, nah, that would mean fleshing out characters who aren’t Goku or Vegeta.
