Samus Aran is wearing her Zero Suit in the Chozo Ruins on Planet Zebes, as seen in Metroid: Zero Mission. This is a reimagining of the epilogue in the game after she crash lands on the surface and temporarily loses access to her armor. She must use stealth tactics to avoid the space pirates until she finds the hidden Chozo artifact, which provides her with a fully realized power suit.
Samus Aran is wearing her Varia Suit armor and is blasting alien monsters below the surface of Planet Zebes. She’s on a mission to eradicate the threat of the Metroids and thwart the evil schemes of the space pirates, lead by Mother Brain. Only Samus can ensure peace in the galaxy, that is if she can survive the perils that lay ahead!

Baraduke II Comic Translation
For the release of Baraduke’s sequel, NG Namco Community Magazine did a four-page comic reintroducing the series. Here’s my relettering of the pages, translated by Metroid Database contributor CapCom (with additional input from a friend of mine). Original scan by Hubz.
Remember to read it right-to-left! (And if you encounter stacked panels or balloons in a Japanese comic, always read down and then left.)

Revised/updated this image for the text version of my video about Metroid’s influences beyond the film Alien. I changed “1986” to the eerie official Switch Online palette instead of the usual super-bright emulator palette.
