#savouring moments

I savour this moment, when you’re broken down entirely, shuddering, sobbing and exhausted. I savour it because this is when I can really show you how much I care, how I can be as soft as I was hard, how I can comfort every bruise and welt that I’ve given to you. 

I savour this moment because it’s the flipside of the coin, when all the sadism and torture and teasing is over, when I’ve run out of names to call you, run out of words entirely, and can just catch the puddle of you in my arms and make you safe. 

I’m the monster, for sure, but I savour this moment because now I get to be the man that saves you from that monster.
