Puppet Designer Rachael Canning talks about puppeteering the Changeling in Scottish Opera’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. 

Here’s a snippet of a recent illustration project I did for Scottish Opera, to produce a whole series of illustrations for a pop-up opera in the run up to their recent main production of Rossini’s Cinderella, a dark and comical version of the fairlytale classic. The pop-up opera appeared in public places around Scotland, where the illustrations were displayed on large boards alongside a musician, singer and narrator.

I did these illustrations in collaboration with my sister, Claire Fleck, who did the character design, and I think she nailed it.
