#screaming into the void for an answer

I never believed in soulmates. Which I mean, I never believed that they existed in our reality/ in our universe. Like, I liked the idea of them, and loved reading the myths about them, and “soulmates” is one of my favorite fanfic AUs, but I didn’t believe that they existed in *our* universe, ya feel? Reality says that we have the possibility to bond romantically (unless you’re Aro-Ace) with more than one person across your lifetime, and there is no One Person for you. Logic says that it makes sense for you to ‘click’ with more than one person, and that there is no perfect match/ mate for you in life, and sometimes you have to settle in order to gain companionship. My poor Romantic’s heart says that if you know, you know.

Look at me now, praying that my gut is right, and that soulmates *do* exist on some level, and that I’m right about the person. Honestly, the Me from 3 years ago would be looking at my present self and thinking that I’ve lost my mind.
