#seems ive got a new song to add to my sj playlist
I keep thinking about how Katharina Althaus named Kamikaze by Die Toten Hosen as one of her current favourite songs on Ski Happens (an old episode) and how the lyrics are “yes, we can fly, only God knows how high / every crash, paints the sky red / we’ll be here foreve / we’ll risk everything / like Kamikaze / nothing to lose” and “we speak every language, we’re unmatched / now afterglow from the past / we can finally breathe, every plan works out / we’re reborn and die together” and it really do feel like a ski jumping hymn to me, perhaps one that’s especially relevant for the women
