Any Matthew Shardlake fans on here?

:D

@khorazir I haven’t read past Sovereign yet, but they’re definitely my comfort books. Despite the, uh, unpleasant historical details. I hope Barak hangs around more, he’s a very good partner for Shardlake. Keeps him from getting too stuffy.

I started with Sovereign years ago when it was first released in paperback (I think I bought it because I liked the cover design), then realised that it was the third part of a series and went back to the first book to read it in order. I’m currently listening to the audiobook of the most recent novel Tombland (Barak is still there, no worries ;)). While I like all of them, I prefer those set in London because I like how the city is made another character. I also like that the author, like Terry Pratchett, always tends to kick up not down.
