#shark tale au
Ok, so, I’m making an au based on @aslitheryprinx’s fake fic title “Bet on the Crown,” which is on xir blog. I’m gonna post an overview and a bit of artwork on that soon, because I’ve been stuck on how the beeduo fits in before I realized “wait this isn’t a beeduo-centric au I’ll figure them out later” cause I’m stupid so now it’s taken me much less time to think of an explication outline.
In the mean time I’m going to go into more detail on the shitposty Shark Tale AU
Firstly they’re all mers. None of the weird slightly human fish that the movie has. If they aren’t specified as a shark mer, then I don’t know what type of fish they are yet, and feel free to give me suggestions. Also if I do specify that they’re sharks, feel free to give me Shark species.
Tommy is Oscar. He constantly feels the need to let everyone know how important he is and gets into trouble by trying to constantly prove himself. He’s got some self-esteem issues.
Ranboo is Lenny. He’s a shark. He doesn’t want to kill people and he doesn’t want to be in the Shark Mafia, so pretty similar to the movie, except Ranboo is way more shy than Lenny. He takes a while to get used to Tommy, especially since he’s never had a friend before, nonetheless a friend small enough to fit in his hand. Tommy adjusts to Ranboo far more quickly because he has zero self preservation skills.
Tubbo is Angie (in a non-romantic way). He’s Tommy’s only friend (before Ranboo) and he just wants Tommy to realize that he doesn’t care who he is or if he’s “important,” he’s his best friend and always will be. He cleans up a lot of Tommy’s messes when he isn’t making his own. He’s also a major menace to Phil because of how often he just breaks into Tommy’s job unannounced to see how he’s doing.
Phil is the pufferfish whos name I don’t remember. He’s Tommy’s boss and has just learned to put up with him. If it were anyone else, he would have fired them a while ago, but he knows Tommy doesn’t really have anywhere else to go, and no one else could really put up with him, so Phil lets him stay. Don’t ask me what business he runs or where Tommy works because I don’t know.
Dream and the rest of the feral boys + bbh are all a part of the Shark mafia and are therefore all sharks. Antfrost, Velvet, and Callahan might also be sharks too, I haven’t decided yet. Dream is the head of the shark mafia and is Ranboo’s older brother and guardian.
Someone gets an anchored dropped on their head like in the movie (since that’s what kickstarts the whole plot) but I don’t know who yet.
I’ll fit Techno and Wilbur in maybe.
Maybe one of them can be the octopus dude but I’ll be honest I don’t remember what he does in the movie.
