#shiba hakkai

LIVE

tiger!souyagetting irritated with puppy!hakkai because hakkai has been gaining all of your attention this week: you’ve been petting hakkai’s ears, not his. you’ve been telling hakkai what a good boy he was, not souya. you’ve been kissing hakkai’s cheeks, not souya’s. and that was a problem.

tiger!souya being all huffy and puffy with you, refusing to cooperate even when you coo and pat your laps, expecting him to settle down and in just as usual. no matter what you do, he’s cross and refuses to ease up. you hug him around the waist, he whips around and snarls at you. you go in for a kiss, he flattens his ears and snaps, “go away!” you try to pet his head, he nearly bites your hand. (it’s always when hakkai is around, blinking, confused at why the normally docile and complying feline was so irritate)

tiger!souya nearly bursting into tears when you wrestle him down onto your shared bed and hold his wrists down beside his head. souya actually bursts into tears when you frown down at him and demand to know why he’s been so pissy this week. souya blubbering and sniffling, ears drooping and eyes downcast as he explains why he’d been such a bad boy and why master had ever right to be mad at him. he wails as he tries to tell you that he wanted the love hakkai got too. souya whining when you lean down to kiss his tears away and turning his head when you try to catch his lips to stop the flow of nonsense. you assure him that you loved him in your own special way that was only for him. you pet his ears and rub his chest, watching his tail relax and swish as it always had. you tell him, “you don’t need to worry about me loving someone more than you. that’ll never happen” and kiss the snot and drool dribbling down his chin and neck away, leaving little suckles at his skin as you go.

you found it endearing that your precious kitty came to such a stupid conclusion. you decide to show him just how much he meant to you, and laugh when he mewls, pawing at your shirt. you do everything you’ve done to hakkai that made him jealous and more— the next morning, he can’t walk, leaning against any surface as his body trembled, a smitten and happy smile on his face and hakkai worries about his friend who is no longer snappy with him. “a-are you okay, angry?” “‘m fine.. sorry, hakkai..

you decide to go check on your pets and ask, “what’s going on over there?” knowing fully well what, patting hakkai’s back before kissing his cheek and moving on to let souya but up against your palm, purring as you rubbed his cheek, never needing to be snappy again this week. you have to be careful. your kitten was easily aggravated and emotional, after all.
