listen i have no idea what i’m talking about so this might just be absolute bullshit. the tsuki ga kirei scene, alright? the phrase is usually supposed to go “the moon is beautiful, isn’t it?” and then whatever the other answers with has a special meaning to it as well. so when shinya left that last part out, it might have meant that he wasn’t expecting an answer. maybe. i’m reading too much into this but it would strengthen the whole “reassurance” approach i went with.
like, “don’t worry, i love you, we’re here for you” in the unconditional sense without ever expecting anything back. interpret that as you will but i thought it was interesting.
