In this Colombian telenovela, a man (Miguel, played by Francisco Reyes Morandé) is tied up in a barn, his shirt is completely ripped off and he’s whipped - mainly reaction shots but we see the welts on his back when he’s cut down.

A rather defiant man finds himself in a dungeon. He’s forcibly deshirted, restrained and at the mercy of a burly, sweaty executioner.

In this version of the Easter story, Jesus (Shredi Jabarin) is chained up, stripped and flogged.

Rather cruelly, before each stroke of the whip from one soldier, he’s punched in the face in another. The music’s also a little distracting, but overall not a bad little scene.
