I feel like everybody who’s only familiar with John Constantine as the guy from those memes about getting railed by King Shark should really be aware that John Constantine is a literal wizard. In fact, he’s the DC universe’s iconic wizard – Marvel gets Doctor Strange, and DC gets the poster boy for Bad Bisexual Representation™ over here. I feel like this adds some much needed context to the shark fucking.

Started rereading @edensxgarden-sensei’s“Managing the Cat’s Den” on AO3 earlier this morning… and can’t help but to imagine that particular scene between Manager-chan and Kenma at the back of the cafeteria(? Or so I thought it is based on Chapter 3’s setting), with her slowly dozing off on his shoulder, a black kitty on both her arms… *swooooooooons*
That’s why I made a kinda rough(?) pencil sketch of the scene:
Tbh, I was so nervous to draw another Haikyuu fanart again after that two-day drawing spree a few weeks ago (see chibi Kita-sanandKenma fanarts), and a second “normal” one after that Haikyuu Redraw challenge that I did some months ago during the series’ end.
Whenever I wanted to draw them, and when I picked my pencil and sketch pad, my mind will go on blank or something, heartbeat rate doubling up speed, cheeks sort of blushing idky lol at the possibility of using some pics as reference. Hate to make eye contact, even if it’s just also a drawing.
So, I didn’t use one here; instead I drew Kenma-kun by memory (after almost everyday saving Haikyuu pins on Pinterest for weeks and checking up other artists’ fanarts and stuff on Instagram). The difficult part of drawing him, I guess, is his hand holding his smartphone—to take a candid(?) snapshot of Manager-chan sleeping (and then sending it to Kuroo ahahaha), as was written on the chapter omake. Fuck hand poses orz. Also I guess, his sitting, too. *shrugs* (And I accidentally sketched him to look a bit like Kunimi because of the hair parting in the middle—but I fixed it na.)
…at last, I survived without even fainting or whatever (my heartbeat’s still speeding up tho ahaha)!
