#sims nostalgia
Part 2.
The original Sims manual has a pretty great statement: “having a conscience is not a pre-requisite to playing the Sims: sometimes it can even get in the way!”
No surprise that me and my friends all loved being dastardly and slightly cruel (putting a fence around a visitor I don’t like? Sorry but that’s your life now), Sims 1 was so fun and encouraging you to mess with the game!

The house has some pretty blah looking white windows that I changed out, and I needed to add an extra room since the house is kinda tiny inside!

Talk about blast from the past!! Rifling through my old things, I found my copy of the game book from the Original Sims (2000).
I was 11 when the game came out and, as was customary for me whenever getting new game, I would read through the game book before bed, eagerly waiting to get started the next day!
I haven’t read through this in decades, but DAMN if this isn’t excellently written! The humor of the Sims 1 is right there on every page. Brings me back but I think now as an adult I get a lot more of their snarky jokes too ;)

She forces people to be friends with her so she can get a job promotion, and tries far too many times to seduce “Cheeto Head”, which takes multiple attempts….Sims 1 is brutal.

Hello everyone!
Lately I’ve been really busy at work, and very tired when I get home (I guess this is my life for the next few decades…yayyyyy)
When I’m at work, sometimes I put on video game playthroughs in the background as just ambient noise and such. So I decided I’d make one for Sims 1! This is a short video but I plan to have longer ones coming soon.
This playthrough doesn’t have any Build/Buy mode, and I cut out the notification cards that also play music with them, so it’s a pretty relaxing look into Michael Bachelor’s day at Normal speed for the most part.
If you guys like having some noise in the background while you do your own thang too, check it out!
