anyways, I just noticed how many of us have completely aestheticized our politics? loaded historical imagery becomes a lowest common denominator between both engagement and signalling. by using a painting of stalin as my pfp/ avi, someone already initiated to far left politics can reasonably guess where one stands on various issues before they give language to it, and left liberals - the group of people we should be working towards renouncing liberalism, to grow the movement we have centered our politics around - can easily write our opinions off based on ideologically programmed preconceived notions. wonder what all that’s about.
