“Well, thanks I guess…” There was an awkward pause… “Sorry, I’m… not really all that great with taking direct compliments haha…” he gave a bit of a nervous laugh and sheepishly glaced down at the ground.
“You don’t have to take it,” I replied with a warm smile, “But you do have to hear it…” He glanced back up and gave that smile that only served to prove my point…
“No no, you need to look at me, not the camera, and this shoulder should be a bit lower.. like this… and don’t forget to smile - remember, you’re having fun!”
It was all a bit intense, being directed this way and that, but the guy knew what he was doing and who was he to question his vision? Truth be told, on a deeper level he realised he actually quite liked following his instructions…
