FILLING PIECES | METAMORPHOSES
Filling Pieces was founded in 2009 and is bridging the gap between high-end fashion and streetwear. The success of the Amsterdam-based brand is deeply dotted to Guillaume Philibert, founder and creative director of Filling Pieces. I had the chance to meet him for a quick chat at OPM’s fashion party a couple month ago in Berlin and couldn’t help but notice that he is a man who treats his entourage like family and who is always aware of where he comes from. Might be the reason why he took his team to his South American homeland Surinam, where they all prepared Filling Pieces next big step: Filling Pieces SS16 collection, titled "Metamorphoses". The complete collection consists of approximately 250 styles and comes along with a redesigned Website and logo. The first drop will be released tomorrow, December 18th.
Das holländische Sneaker Label Filling Pieces wurde 2009 in Amsterdam gegründet und hat sich mit seinem Mix aus High-End Fashion und Streetwear schnell im Mode Business etabliert. Ein Erfolg, den sich Gründer und Creative Director Guillaume Philibert hart erarbeitet hat. Ich hatte das Glück ihn während der letzten Fashion Week in Berlin im Rahmen der OPM Party kennen zu lernen. Er ist ein Sneaker-Visionär, das ist klar! Beeindruckend zudem seine bescheidene Art. Seine Entourage behandelt er wie Familie und eines kommt für ihn niemals in Frage: Zu vergessen, wo er herkommt. Um das zu unterstreichen machte er sich mit seinem Team auf den Weg nach Surinam, dem Heimatland seiner Eltern. Dort enstand das Lookbook der neuen SS16 Kollektion namens “Metamorphoses”. Die gesamte Kollektion umfasst 250 neue Styles und soll ein weiter Meilenstein für das junge Modeunternehmen werden, dass zeitgleich zum morgigen (18.12.2015) Release der ersten Modelle sein neues Logo präsentiert.

SNEAKERLOVE | ADIDASORIGINALS NMD
Say hi to the newest member of the Adidas sneaker family. The Adidas Originals NMD has been presented in New York last night and comes up with a new silhouette that combines design elements from retro sneakers such as the Micro Pacer, Rising Star and Boston Super with modern boost technology. Probably the most comfortable sneaker out there right now (trust me, I’ve already tried them!). Release date is set for the 12th of December.
Die Sneaker Familie von Adidas hat Zuwachs bekommen. Gestern Abend wurde in New York die neuste aller Silhouetten vorgestellt: Der Adidas Originals NMD. Ein Mix aus moderner Boost Technologie und Design-Elementen vergangener Modelle, wie dem Micro Pacer, Rising Star oder dem Boston Super. Womöglich der zur Zeit bequemste Sneaker auf dem Markt (trust me, ich habe ihn schon probiert!). Der Schuh erscheint am 12. Dezember.

WOOD WOOD X ADIDAS ULTRA BOOST
Wood Wood did it again! 10 years after the famous adicolor project, the Danish streetwear label teams up with Adidas once again to rework the Ultra Boost silhouette and create two takes on the innovative silhouette. The design of the Consortium Ultra Boost is inspired by astrophysics and the discovery of gravitational waves back in 2014, which were incorporated into these sneakers - They work together with blue and orange color highlights. In Addition the white women's Version (Sorry guys!) also comes with a new elastic lacing system. Release is set for saturday, 20th of february
Ein modisches Déjà-Vu haben derzeit das dänische Streetwear Label Wood Wood und Adidas. Zehn Jahre nach den damals erfolgreichen adicolor Reihen, darf das aus Kopenhagen stammende Label an einer weiteren Silhouette von Adidas herumschrauben - dem Ultraboost. Design-technisch diente die Astrophysik, darunter vor allem die Entdeckung von Gravitationswellen aus dem Jahre 2014, als Inspiration. Blaue und Orange Highlights ergänzen das cleane Design. Erscheinungstermin: 20.02.2016
