Not me being targeted one of those dumb speaking dog button videos and the dog literally stress yawns while performing the behavior. Like okay. What if we just…oh I dunno just throwing this out there…learned to communicate with dogs using our knowledge of their own body language instead of forcing them to use a system that’s for our benefit and our benefit alone?

#dogblr #dog training #buttons are so gimmicky to me #either positive or negative #only because i say it every day before i give them #dinner #and the response would be the same #meanwhile my dogs ask for food in a very specific way #like sometimes my dogs stress yawn during training #or not being clear enough with what i’m asking #so i typically step back and reevaluate at that point
