Academy Awards is synonymous

W/ “The Oscar’s”. My family and I enjoyed a meal last night and were trying to find something we could all agree on watching. We landed on the Awards show and I was like :

“Oh the Oscar’s, yeah of course let’s watch this!”

My older brother proceeded to tell us how it wasn’t the actual Oscar’s, it was a different thing and we all went along with it and opted for something else. My family and I cannot smoke weed together and function like normal humans.
