OK the parallels between Yugioh and Kingdom Hearts are incredibly prolific and surprising with constant back and forth including but not limited to:
Power of Friendship
Card games in KH:CoM
People living inside each other
Literal Power of Waking/memory-based invocation in the latest YGO movie DSoD (seriously watch that movie if you’re a Kingdom Hearts fan)
Also pretty sure you pilot a mech in Yozora’s game in KH3 and Gundam has similar themes as well like communication and understanding that transcends death, exploitation and heartbreak of child soldiers, and how tournaments are a fun diversion from cosmic politics up until the devil tries to intervene.
