1/ Soak with Full Volume Extra by Tecni.ART
There is nothing like it for adding volume—this mousse can be used as needed from the roots through to the tips. To ensure it is fully absorbed, massage with both hands throughout the hair.
2/ Enhance with Infinium hairspray
Sprayed generously 12 inches from the hair, this dryer version fixes the wavy effect without weighing the hair down.
3/ Plump up with Mythic Oil
As a finishing touch, once both braids have been placed under the flat iron then undone, it’s a good idea to warm a small amount of this oil (concentrated in avocado and grapeseed oils) between the hands to rehydrate the driest tips of the hair.
PRO TIPS
* WAVE the lengths
This is the key step in perfecting this look. The most effective method? Once the hair has been coated in volumizing foam, separate the lengths in two and braid. Finally, place the braids under the flat iron.
* INCREASE the volume
Backstage, the hairstylists agree that it’s essential to use a very large amount of volumizing mousse. The more saturated the hair, the better the result.
* BOOST the penetration of the actives
The secret behind an elegant hairstyle? Actives (volumizing, moisturizing, etc.) that have fully penetrated the hair. To help them weave their way in, once applied, it’s a good idea to brush then comb the whole head of hair for a few minutes.
* CREATE SHAPE in super straight hair
Want to create waves in Asian hair? Easy, when drying, simply twist the lengths with the index finger and pull them up into a chignon before drying them.
