Yet another thing to complain about in POOT/Most farm games in general?
Like uuuh I know MOST ppl wanna marry a character and have them make babies n all that jazz but like… What if they DON’T, or what if they just wanna wait til later? It’s kinda annoying that the game makes you automatically agree with the partner bringing it up.
Also, I think it would be a really neat secondary option if you DIDN’T want kids, if you could instead say to the partner, “Can we focus on pets instead of kids?” And then by choosing this option, you’re allowed to have twice as many pets instead of having kids…
Like JUST SAYING from what I’ve heard this game lets you have 4 pets w the biggest available house but allows you to have a whopping and quite frankly stupid 8 gd kids… And JUUUUST SAYING if you’re allowed to have 8 gd KIDS you should be allowed to have 8 gd PETS instead…
And also I like marrying multiple characters and I like having different headcanons for all of them. So it would be more fun to have one of your couples choose to have kids, another choose adoption, and another choose to be Pet Parents! Just saying in TOT I totally HC’d that me and Hinata’s Pet Palace household only had a kid to give our favorite pet someone to play with~ XD;;
Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns has one of the best starting concepts for this type of sim.
Family member didn’t leave your a farm, no contest or anything that won you the land. No, you started a farm on PURE SPITE because it was your dream, but father said no. So you move to the town your farming uncle lives in, and there is a whole quest line about making your dad eat it by surpassing his expectations
It brings me more joy than it has any right to.
