Next stop on my shibari tour was the dojo of Nawasabi in Speyer / Germany.
To learn by Nawasabi was very special. His dojo was super cozy and had an atmosphere that was unimaginable. Nawasabi, himself a direct student of the Grand Master Osada Steve, does the Grand Master all the honor. His tying seems to be inexhaustible, but nevertheless he does not lose oneself in his variety of abilities. His way of teaching is very entertaining so you’ll never get bored. His style of tie is absolutely unique and I enjoyed every second watching him.
In the dojo, as well as in private, he treats everyone with absolute respect. You always feel like you are more than a simple student. You can learn a lot from him. I appreciate Nawasabi not only as a teacher but also as a person and now as a friend.
I can recommend a visit to his Dojo in Speyer to anyone, whether beginner or professional rigger. It was a very nice evening and of course not my last visit.
