“The Intermission, Part II” [Click Here for Part I]

The next installment in my series of StarFox 2 paintings, highlighting the unsung tasks and interactions with their assortment of technology between flights. Continuing the theme of arwing maintenance, Fay Spaniel channels the spirit of Rosie the Riveter, fearlessly coercing the white-hot metal into shape. While the arwings may have left the factory as state-of-the-art technology, this team of mercenary pilots in the depths of space has to scrounge up whatever they can find to keep their ships going. Sometimes the old tech is all that’s available, but often it gets the job done just as well.

Aria April Moth is the youngest member of StarVulpe. As such, she has a fuzzy little finger on the pulse of modern culture, able to fill in the veteran pilots on a contemporary joke or a newfangled Cornerian battle tactic. She isn’t the most serious individual, but the team enjoys her bright and vivacious energy…perhaps “puts up with” is more accurate.

Rock Raccoon, the engineer of the group, has a lot going on for themself. Not only are they able to fix even the most outdated of technology and have it running like new, but they’re fast and reliable about it, too. One of the toughest minds (and sharpest tongue) to come out of Corneria’s engineering program, Rock isn’t afraid to tell it like it is…even if you’re not ready to hear it. But underneath it all, Rock is a steadfast member of StarVulpe and is utterly indispensable. Just don’t make Slippy cry, alright?

Gemini is a man of class and intellect, as well as StarVulpe’s tactician. Once Lupé’s best colleague in Flight Academy, Gemini chose to come into his own and become the man he always knew he was. Affected with vitiligo at a young age, he is exceptionally curious of what unusual creatures must lie beyond all civilized planets, and hopes to explore and discover them all.
