Soooo.. Let’s just say, after this episode, second Emmy for Jeremy Strong? Just putting it out there.
It’s this thing he does with Kendall - how he makes me go from the heights of cringe to the depths of soul-crushing misery in half a blink.
Also, Roman made me want to drop kick him in the face multiple times this episode and he’s my favourite of the siblings. Burning bridges all around - love that for him.
Lol at Tom ending up as the son that Logan always wanted. Rofl at Tom not realizing that he’s just set himself up to be the failson of season 4 (Ken was failson of season 1, Shiv was faildaughter of season 2, and Roman was failson of season 3). Lmfao at the fact that the siblings might actually be able to properly team up next season - it’ll probably be too late to do them any corporate good (which will be for the best) but it will be hilarious when they take down Tom and Greg. And hoo boy am I eagerly awaiting my invitation to Connor and Willa’s wedding where Logan will inevitably die (right? I feel like Willa is powerful enough for that to happen for her. In Willa I trust.)
Roman was at work for the town hall, did the interview to help Logan’s image, went to Shiv for the whole open letter thing, and then he still went BACK into work just to talk with Gerri.
Um… so the Season 2 recap/“Previously on Succession” video (posted on the Succession twitter account today) includes the bit of Roman asking Gerri if they should get married. Does this mean… are we getting a marriage… in the first episode back???
Okay so it didn’t happen in the first episode back, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen!
My current guess is that things will get very bad for Gerri and Roman at some point, maybe more so for Gerri, probably later in the season, and they’ll get so desperate that marriage will seem like the only logical option to save themselves (or, again, more specifically, to save Gerri).
(And then Logan will find out right away and it’ll be all kinds of terrible)
