I just had a very weird but funny idea: imagine a bucky x reader small town modern au where Reader goes to take care of her sick grandpa, Steve (who isn’t really her grandfather, just married her grandmother but she considers him as her “official” grandpa).
Now poor Stevie is old and forgetful but he swears like a sailor and he’s grumpy as fuck. He’s worried about Reader because he’s the only family she’s got left and he wonders who will take care of her when she’s old. Every Thursday Reader takes Steve to the senior citizens center where he plays card games with other fellow senior citizens (think the Avengers but they’re all over 80)
Now Steve tells them about his plan to make you fall in love with one of the single young men in town. He thinks you and Bucky would be a great match so they all start to plan their next move. Like Steve would purposely wreck his car by beating it with the walking stick he refuses to use because then you’d have to call Bucky, the mechanic, or some other silly shenanigans.
