#sumatran tiger
Needed a quick break from sterile ugly work art the other day to paint something deliciously fiddly.
This also happens to be Cornelius if he were an animal (ok, a different animal). Tigers just work well for him. Specifically the Sumatran tiger, a small, nearly-extinct island tiger. Powerful but still a cat at the end of the day. Decorative and fancy. Loves to swim. Resting anger face.

As soon as I saw this tiger’s fabulous beard I knew he had to be ‘Santa Cat’ this year!

Today is International Tiger Day (July 29th).
It’s so scary to think that stunning Sumatran Tigers like this are so critically endangered. Possibly less than 400 in the wild… :-(
