I wanted to try and redraw these beautiful illustrations since I saw them, so here we are! Obviously I started with John, the part I prefer the most is how he holds his long mantle, creating that beautiful curve broken in the middle by his body. I don’t know exactly why he’s holding and studying a pearl (these drawings came along with some fantasy fanfics, must be related to that) but I gave my own tweak and made the pearl float magically above his hand.
