Dear friends,
KAIKIN (lifting of the ban in Japanese) is a new theatre play about the times when Japan was a closed country, no people were allowed out or in… except for Dutch merchants.
A lot of you here are artists yourselves and you know how difficult it is to make art without support! So I invite you to help and support
this play, which is written and directed by Ellis van Maarseveen, a director, actress and drama teacher who left the Netherlands 5 years ago to live and work in Japan.
