one interpretation you could make of annihilation/annihilation: conquest/ that whole timeframe is that peter regained his optimism and sense of purpose after he met rich
tbh is practically (if not) canon. Like, Rich always believed in Peter from the very beginning
Yeah, Rich has tremendous respect and admiration for Peter who was an advisor, a confidant, a friend and all around a big emotional support for Rich during the Annihilation war. Rich believes in Peter and has faith in Peter’s plans and decisions, so much that when he learned that Peter sent a strike force to the Cancerverse he decided to follow him even when everyone else told him not to.
Rich and Peter have such an interesting relationship which sadly doesn’t get touched on that much nowadays.
