You know those things in stories when it goes ‘Character B thought Character A was the prettiest motherfucker ever, but they would rather throw themselves into a river than tell them that.’

Can’t help but picture Quentin taking something like this quite literally to escape the absolute anxiety that possibly revealing his feelings to Eliot would generate.

Margo: “Q, you think El looks better without a shirt, right?”

Quentin: *chugs a bottle of tabasco sauce to escape having to answer*
