Summary:As you lay in bed one night you ponder declaring your love for Taron.

The sound of rain beating against the window lulls you into memories of the day. It had been a long one, but one of your best together and Taron had thrown you both into bed almost as soon as he shut the door. Rolling over you take in his muscular frame stretching down from the headboard. Strong arms resting underneath the pillow, his bare back fully exposed to you as he slept on his stomach.
Snuggling into him your fingers brush against the skin of his back. How someone so strong can be so soft you have yet to figure out. You gently run your hand up and down as not to wake him. He stirs and you rip your hand away, holding your breath as he rustles a bit before settling. When you are sure he is asleep you place the pads of your fingers slowly back down against him and begin tracing the letter “I”. Lowercase, with a tiny heart instead of a dot. You’ve thought about telling him, but what if he doesn’t feel the same? “L” is next, followed by an “O” and a “V”. But what if he does? Your heart begins to race at the thought as you ever so gently trace the “E”. A cool breeze rushes through the open window and over you. Goosebumps envelope your naked legs as you trace a “you” in cursive before starting again.
Three more times you write the words on him, pressing a bit harder with each pass as you become more confident. More sure of yourself. Of your love for him. You finish by sweetly kissing the back of his neck, the hair at his nape tickling your nose. Laying back, you rest your head on your pillow and let out a deep sigh. A tiny smile breaks across your lips as you close your eyes. You are content with your midnight declaration.
The feeling of his arm wrapping around your waist stirs you from your almost slumber and he wriggles himself close, laying a single kiss on your collarbone before nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck.
“I love you too” he whispers.
