#teaching experience

Taught my first full lesson today (woo!) and it went pretty good. Was too broad in my planning (we were doing measurements by estimation, and I’d planned to touch on area and volume as well) and had to cut some stuff out. Also need to work on my classroom management skills.

It was a bit chaotic, what with the kids moving around measuring stuff in the classroom with their agendas and index cards and stuff like that. I think the kids had fun, and they even learnt a little, so success ;)

But the biggest hit was the blank playing cards I’d brought in (as one of the “standard size” items they could use for their measuring) lol

I think they were more excited that I said they could take their card home than anything else
