23rd July - What is the worst vacation you have ever been on?✨
I haven’t really been on a bad holiday. But we went on a school trip to Barcelona once and it was so badly planned that it was a disaster. There were 4 teachers for about 40 students. It was chaotic.
I’ve been tagged in a few things over these past week or so, so I figured that while I’m online and have the time to do so, I’d finally reply to them! Thanks so much to both @fismoll7secinvand@forever-and-almost-always I truly appreciate the tags, and these games look like so much fun!

I’m not even sure if I have any current projects at the moment… but let’s see what I can dig up from recent(ish) writings:
He never should have walked into this temple. Naberius struggles, an almost suffocating pressure pressing itself down upon him. He does his best to appear attentive; to listen as the temple Grandfather talks, confusion evident as they ask if he knew anything about the Death Curse. (D&D,here)
The early morning sunlight hangs low in the sky. Its bright, candescent rays paint the snow-capped mountains a rich, golden hue, igniting them as if they were sunkissed by the gods themselves. (WoH,here)
”There is a perfectly good door you could use, you know.”
Naberius freezes for a second from where he has one leg slung over the open window frame, looking up to where Senrab sits with his back towards him, focused intently on writing at the desk.(D&D,here)
“I do hope you haven’t been working the poor boy too hard, Zishu.”
The sound of laughter follows Beiyuan’s words. Across the large expanse of the gymnasium, Zhou Zishu drops the corner of the large safety mattress he’s dragged into position, a loud slap ringing in the air as it hits the ground. (Qi Ye, here)
It has been some time since Lan Wangji last found himself following the all too familiar path which led him deeper into the heart of the Burial Mounds. The journey is much as he remembers; with the sound of twigs breaking beneath his footsteps ringing loud in the air, the all too brief moments where a nearby bird caws complementing the bleak atmosphere surrounding him. The cold chapter of winter slowly passes by, and in its wake rises the dawn of springtime.
It is the rising of the sun in the east as it paints the sky a golden hue. It is the rebirth of nature; of the flowers beginning to slowly bloom, the colours a growing tapestry of joy. The wildlife emerging from long slumbers, bright-eyed and newly energized, ready to face the world once more. (WoH,here)
There are nights where sleep eludes Wei Wuxian.
Memories of his past life linger, grasping at him like the shade of phantom shadows. They are the ghosts of those he’d lost or those he’d failed. Of those he’d loved and mourned. (The Untamed, here)
Wei Wuxian has always enjoyed spicy foods. The taste, the variety in their flavours, the heat they provide when added to compliment a dish. He knows it is not something that others share his enjoyment of. (The Untamed, here)
The first sign of Zhou Zishu’s senses slowly returning to him is from the cold mountain air.
It’s the gliding dance of a chill, gently caressing light goosebumps against his cheek, a sensation of which he has not felt for what feels like a lifetime now.(WoH,here)
Once, Jing Beiyuan had believed himself to have experienced all there was to be had in all his lives combined. (Qi Ye, here)
“While I’m proud that Lu Ta is excelling in his studies, I’m not quite sure how I feel about being a subject for him to learn off of.”
Wu Xi listens to Beiyuan’s complaints, gently lifting his husband’s sleeve away from his arm so he can get to the bite which he knows is there. His lips tilt upwards with a small grin. (Qi Ye, here)
The living room is littered with numerous boxes. Wei Wuxian himself sits cross-legged upon the floor, attention focused on emptying the box which is closest to him.
The meal feels as if it’s stretched the length of the entire evening.
Beiyuan must admit, a part of him had missed these meetings whilst he’s been away. He’s missed his friends, the little toxin he knows so well and whom makes it a mission to visit him nearly every day. He’s even missed the daft little sable and how it would always manage to find a way to stay by his side while he was busy reading. (Qi Ye, here)
Lan Wangji knows, without a doubt in his mind, that Wei Ying loves him. Both unconditionally and wholeheartedly. He knows he never has to fear Wei Ying hurting him in any way, nor would his heart ever be broken whilst held in the delicate weight of his hands. (The Untamed, here)
Zhou Zishu loves his shidi.
Out of all the people he knows, he can count on one hand those he would do absolutely anything for, and Liang Jiuxiao ranks among that very limited list. They’ve been through so much together - moments which have been filled with both the good and the bad - and yet there is nothing that could break the bond they share between one another. Sizhui is not a difficult child.
He is bright and clever, inquisitive as someone his age is likely to be. He is kind in nature, intuitive to people in a way that Lan Wangji still manages to find himself struggling with. (The Untamed, here)
Lan Wangji dreams, sometimes.
He dreams of Nightless City. Of the moments leading up to Wei Ying’s death, trapped in a repeat of the worst day of his life. Each time Lan Wangji tries in vain to change something - to save him - as if doing so in the dreamworld would make it true in reality. But it always plays out the same. (The Untamed. Cloud hadn’t really known what to expect on his return to Nibelheim, yet the feeling of strangeness which accompanies him is new.
His hometown hadn’t changed at all during the years he’s been gone. It looks the same, it feels the same. (Final Fantasy VII. Incomplete, removed)
It begins when Jiang Cheng shares that he’s thinking of getting a dog.
“Jiang Cheng,” Wei Wuxian whines, looking to where his brother sits by the pier next to him. He pouts at him. “Why would you want a dog? Wouldn’t a kitten be nicer? Cuter?” (The Untamed, here)
It’s snowing.
Wei Wuxian has never been in Cloud Recesses while it has snowed before. Yet after the past few days he’s had he finds himself feeling an odd sense of peace watching as light flurries fall and blanket the ground in a white cloud. (The Untamed, here)
