so. i made a huge discovery today because of what we just saw.

we all know this cutscene from the game, right?

but i remembered something from it…

THIS LINE! RIGHT HERE! he tells us to collect his “runaway debtors”. and in the table read, devil told us that cuphead’s soul debt had expired already. so… what if that’s why all the debtors in the game ran away? they must have KNOWN that if you stay away from devil long enough, that their soul debt would expire!
