Half the point is merging multiple styles, however…
Anyway, the concept is built out of the Libra scales and the myth of the Feather of Ma’at during the Weighing of the Heart in Ancient Egyptian mythology.
The image is of a set of hanging scales, done in black in a brush calligraphy style with a touch of bleed. The scales are off balance - the lowest is empty, the highest has a butterfly resting on it. The butterfly is done in a more graphic style, with bold galaxy colors.
