I feel just about as disillusioned with the show as Quentin felt about Fillory. Were the writers trying to make this an immersive experience or something?

Maybe my shipper goggles are too tight, but I feel like a good answer to “why do you love Fillory” might have been “the fifty years I spent there falling in love with my best friend and raising a family together”.
