I have collected (almost) every Maxi outfit so far in Under the Oak Tree, because the artist uses her as a dress up doll and that’s a good thing. Through this process I have drawn the following conclusions:
- her most frequently worn colors are a shade of burgundy very close to her hair and various shades of forest green. The hair-toned burgundy seems to be the color Riftan always chooses for her, when he picks out her outfits. And most of her dresses and jewelry have gold accents, she doesn’t wear much silver
- she prefers pearls over most other gems for jewelry. She also really likes dangly belt chains
- bright yellow is the least flattering color on her, in my opinion, whereas pale blues, greens, and pinks suit her beautifully. We only see her wearing pink once in a mini illustration, which is a shame because it looks great on her
- as she’s grown into her role as lady calypse she’s definitely gotten more comfortable experimenting with clothing, wearing bolder colors and jewelry. Her signature ‘take charge’ color is a bright cobalt blue
- there is a VERY STRONG negative correlation between the height of her necklines and her proximity to Riftan. Specifically when Riftan isn’t around she likes to wear a kind of white turtleneck thing under a lot of dresses, but she immediately ditches that when he gets back
