ran a couple more loops, I was getting frustrated with the dream world and so I decided to check out somewhere I hadn’t yet been, going to sleep inside the diving bell. Whole new quest revealed! There’s three code wheels that unlock the sarcophagus.

In the process of doing this I realized you could put your lantern down in the dream world and hmm. It’s not a magic dream it’s like a computer simulation that’s rendered for you by your lantern. This does not help me sneak past the alarm towers at all but cool cool cool that’s good to know.

Figured out the lights puzzle and found the secret key room in the tower, and realized that it let me access the weird locked chamber over by the gorges. For a game with no way of telling you where to go this thing sure does drip feed you new assignments on the regular.

Found one of the three hidden reels, showing a tablet being carried across a gap Indiana Jones style, need to go find the other two.

Echoes of the Eye is definitely more reliant on memorising or noting down world details than the main game, which I think comes mostly from the inability to use text at all for the Strangers.
