I want to know whose house I’ve wrecked!

[Image description: a drawing of Carpenter from episode four of The Silt Verses. She has long red hair and is wearing a green coat, brown pants, a black shirt, and a black hat with a large brim. She is kneeling on a roof and is calling down to someone out of frame. The roof is on fire and there is smoke billowing behind her. She is yelling, “Hey Charity! Tell me more about your god!” End image description].

We dress in the things we kill, in sallow bone and in bloodied rough fur. We accept the Beast That Stalks, with gratitude, into ourselves.

[Image description: a drawing of Mercer and Gage from The Silt Verses podcast. They are both riding horses through a fire. Gage is on the horse in the front and Mercer is on the one in the back. They both have medium-light skin, blond hair, and are wearing bloodied furs and bones. Gage has a dog skull on their head while Mercer has a goat skull. There are shotguns in holsters on the sides of both horses. Mercer and Gage appear unbothered by the fire. End image description.]

autumnal-rains:

A digital painting of Carpenter from the silt verses, here depicted as a white woman with long dark hair, in a white coat, holding a rifle in her hands, splattered with blood. She's frowning. The background is solid black, with the exception of a red ring like a halo, and the thin outline of wings (also in red), positioned behind her. ALT

“If they won’t let you, will you be the one who makes it stop?”

Carpenter from the newest episode. Sometimes, when you get back from the dead, you just gotta go a bit Jason Vorhees on some fucked up government scientists.

thesiltverses:

[Description:  The title reads, in faux-medieval text, ‘The Immeasurable Apotheosis of Sid Wright.’ The words are surrounded by barbed wire and flowers.]

“How can you love something you don’t truly understand?”

“How can you speak for a god whose face has not been revealed to you?”

Thefirst episode of our Patreon mini-series, starring the incredible David S. Dear as Sid Wright, launches today!

ieattaperecorders:

“He likes tragedies! He finds them soothing!” Hembrey you don’t need to call me out like that.

diversity win! the corrupt politician uses they/them pronouns!

something something complicity in horror as the true source of horror…anyway, I’m feeling super normal.

transjamsder:

The new episode of the silt verses was oddly powerful. I’m used to a consistent theme of the characters being unable to escape their own fate or what their god had chosen for them, but Paige was able to convince Hembry to try and break away from his god. And it worked. It may have destroyed him in the process, but this gives me hope about Paige’s build a god plan. Not to mention the literal Hayward escaping his own fate when Paige unkilled him.

OOOOOH SILT VERSES IS COMING BACK

the original four

[id: digital sketch of carpenter, faulkner, paige and hayward. carpenter is blonde, immensely tired, and wearing a long trench coat. faulkner is east asian with short dark hair and wears a vinyl poncho as a cape. he’s giving carpenter an unreciprocated cheerful look. paige is dressed for work, wearing glasses, and zoning out. hayward is very obviously an undercover cop and giving the viewer a confused look. end id.]

fooling around with walk cycles ft. carpenter

[id: short black-and-white gif of carpenter, a tall woman with a long coat and long hair in a braid, walking tiredly across a cluster of reeds. a speech bubble in the corner says “marco!” with sparkling emojis around it. carpenter replies “polo” in a much less enthusiastic speech bubble. end id.]

enjoying the fact that carpenter gets episode 4 of each season to just go off and commit crimes while delivering the absolutely most metal lines possible.

Love it when your grandma’s cult leader friend shows up at your workplace to talk at you about killing birds

ciriceart:

My river.

My savage, terrible, lonely river.

Graphite pencil on black paper. There are a lot of little details that got lost to smudging and lightening, but I’m still very happy with what is basically a loose sketch that I made up as I went along.

His skull spitting silt is based on a nutria and a deer. I felt it was appropriate for the mood.
