Have you read THE OVERSTORY by Richard Powers?

I read it last month while spending time among some of the biggest and most precious trees I have ever seen. Swipe left to see just how big.

Exploring the Clayoquot Sound rainforest on Vancouver Island was truly the most magnificent setting while reading this book. The Overstory is about a group of nine people and the connections they have with trees throughout their lives. I enjoyed the way this book was structured. However, it made me sad to ponder the destruction of our world’s forests. I was left wondering what I could do to change this.

As much as I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to others, I still think Greenwood by @michaelchristie, which is also about trees, is a much better story. In fact, it is my number one book of the year!

I would love to hear your thoughts on either of these two books.
