The Venture Bros, Adult Swim // Season 3
I joined The Venture Bros in 2007 as Color Supervisor to re-conceptualize the painting style. Jackson Publick wanted a look that was a cross between Syd Mead and 60′s Ad Art, with a nod to old Hanna Barbera cartoons. This was the first location I painted (The Venture compound) to develop the new style.

I’ve been playing around with #polymerclay to make pins and doing some testing of paints and such. I tried out my #poscamarkers on the #link and #brocksamson pins and I really like how they came out. They only thing is if I do really really tight spots my pens can’t get in their (Brock Samson curls for example).
I have been seeing a lot of people use #gouacheacrylic but I just got regular #gouache so I tried that on the grumpy Kitty pin. I do love how the posca came mostly, just have to figure out how to get into the tiny crevices. Anyone else make polymer clay pins? I’d like to also cover them in resin too! So we shall see how the paint handles the resin.
