Kaleidoscope

I painted this big piece this summer for a contest, I couldn’t show it until the winners were announced but I’m happy I can finally show it! :_>

I wanted to draw a complex background ‘cause I hadn’t drawn a polished one for years! The last backgrounds I drew are still in my old DA account omg.

 I wanted to give a relaxing feeling, also if you see carefully there are some objects that suggest the Earth/ground (plants and the rails), air (hot air balloon) and even the space! (that jar just in the front of the pic). Right next to the girl there’s a kaleidoscope, I had one when I was little and it amazed me, and so they do amaze me still <3. This place shows this girl’s own little big world.

I didn’t win, but I got a Honorable Mention! And this pic is the cover of a zine that has mine and all the other participants’s entries! <3.
