Cursed concept: Grandmother and Grandfather shipped as an incredibly cursed power couple.

I mean, it would be logical in a way. I very much wrote that thing with the idea of having Dorley and Grandfather’s city having certain symmetries. It’s not a coincidence that I gave him that name. They’re counterparts! And specifically counterparts in a gendery way!

I think this would actually work a lot better with canon Grandmother than with my version of her. My version would hate Grandfather/Tatasi in the same way she’d hate Cooper, she’d definitely recognize him as a living symbol of abuse and exploitation and specifically the kind of abuse and exploitation she’s most primed to recognize as such and feel passionate moral anger at. Maybe there could be some kind of twisted enemies to lovers thing but I really don’t see it.

But canon The Sisters of Dorley Grandmother? I could totally see her and Grandfather recognizing each other as kindred spirits and getting along well. I could totally see him being her vampire sugar daddy like Elle is Bea’s vampire sugar mommy. Could totally see him treating her to a $2500 dinner in some opulent restaurant and regaling her with accounts of the atrocities he’s committed and then taking her up to some opulent hotel room and having creepy sex with her.

I feel like the most equivalently cursed thing with him and my version of Grandmother that would feel right is pitting them against each other in something like an Epic Rap Battles of History thing. I could totally see Grandfather working in something like Ivan the Terrible’s role in that video, given how long he’s survived he’s probably faced off against and survived a lot of enemies over the millennia. Though logically it’d make more sense to have him rap battle against Elle cause she’s the one who knows about him and is planning to kill him, I don’t think Grandmother and Grandfather would even be aware of each other’s existence.
