#this is such a great thought

inkdemonapologist:

Joey (TIOL): “I didn’t think moralizing was particularly realistic. People don’t see the world as one populated by do-gooders. I thought of the angel in my play. She could never be a lead character.”
Susie (audiolog): “Sammy says she may be as popular as Bendy some day.”
Norman (DCTL): “The cartoons do okay for a while, after Henry leaves. Alice was popular for a beat. So was the original actress, Susie.”

what if…. susie…… was TOO good……
What if a big reason Joey wanted Susie replaced was actually because she was sucha good fit for the part, that Alice was starting to outshine Bendy?

Additional Thoughts:

- in Shawn’s audiolog, he is clearly looking for feedback on what to do about the mountains of Alice Angel merch he can’t sell (which def backs up the idea that she was previously popular, a lot of toys were made to meet demand, and then suddenly NOT popular, like, say, if the voice actress was suddenly switched or something) – Joey apparently completely ignores this problem to focus, instead, on the few Bendy dolls that aren’t quite perfect

- According to the Employee’s Handbook, the memo letting everyone know that Allison was taking over as Alice Angel was withheld from Susie specifically, which led to her finding out second-hand. If Joey took it personally that Bendy was being upstaged, that could be a reason he’s so weirdly, intentionally cruel in the way he dismisses Susie from the role.

- And then the weird gap of time (at least 3 years) between Susie being kicked off the part and being offered the “opportunity” with the ink machine ritual is enough time for Joey to stop being sore about it and realise that if Susie was SO perfect for the role before, maybe she’s the one who can make this thing work
