The rustling melody of footsteps echoing in the boundless dark of the night. Sounding closer and closer to the boy lingering beneath the pallid moonlight. Radiant hues turning then, tearing away from the steady threads of glistening silk intertwined between cool fingers.

Turning his heel to meet whomever stepped so close. Figuring perhaps another wayward human lost within the unyielding abyss of trees, perhaps another valiant slayer playing ‘hero’ and planning futility to take his head.

Yet to his surprise, only a small bundle of chestnut fur shuffling slowly in the bleak darkness. Who had seemed to take note of the boy’s presence as well.

Gazing at that dark fur that appeared so very soft, wondering just it might feel. Gentle embers of curiosity flickering upon passive features painted porcelain pale.

Peering absently into those wide eyes that had fixated upon the young boy somewhat warily.

Suddenly crouching down before the other, rocking upon bare heels. Windswept locks falling haphazardly before those strange eyes. The static expression upon the boy’s face unchanging. Even as one delicate hand reached out, peeking out from a snow white sleeve.

❝ Here.  ❞

Pale digits extending then, beckoning the strange creature closer still. Tongue softly clucking in the muted hush that swelled around them.

❝  Come here.  ❞

Traveling across the forest, she kept her mind on one thing at the moment which is her next mission to visit a hospital. Now this hospital was said to be the newest and needed help with training a staff which of course, Ruthie volunteered to come help out. She refused to get paid as she prefers to do what is good to help train the staff and help patients out in this new hospital. Along with wanting to help give it a good reputation so that those who are injured and need medical attention can come to this new hospital with little to no worries.

Although as night began to draw in more, Ruthie decided to use a flashlight she had to help lead the way through the forest. The forest seemed to have changed somehow with each step. She was unsure what was going on but something did seem to be strange as she shivered a bit. Maybe it was just the night time drawing closer and closer.

Yeah, that has to be it, it can’t be anything else, right?

As Ruthie made her way through the forest more, she passed a few what seemed to be dense bushes. Then noticing the spider webs that curled around the branches and leaves. It caused her to have some of the spider webs in her as well. She shook herself violently and used her right paw to swipe the webs off before looking around more. It seemed that there were many more spider webs around her. The sparkling and glowing of the webs around her shined with the moonlight that came and shined down on them. It caused a bit of the forest to brighten up. Her eyes sparkled slightly at the site as she found the view of the forest with growing nature along with lively spider webs glowing around her.

Beautiful, wasn’t it? But why are there so many spider webs, so little and so large.

She couldn’t put her paw on it as why this is. It made her wonder what spiders she’ll be meeting along the way. Mentally hoping they aren’t too big, or at least not bigger than her. Ruthie didn’t have a problem with spiders, no not at all, but any tiny creature that’s larger than her did terrify her a bit.

As she kept walking down the forest, she could sense something along with the rest of the life around her. It seemed strange, stranger than anyone or anything she’s encountered. Walking along some more and passing through some more bushes, she looks ahead to see what looks like a little kid. Seeing the white hair curled around him what reminds her of spider legs. Then seeing the red dots on his face while also noticing his eyes were different than anything she’s seen before.

Was this the one with the strange aura? It can’t be, they look like a kid but different than from what I’ve seen before.

Her ears flicked as Ruthie focused on him more. Was that… clicking and/or whistling? Were they calling her over? But why like that? Then again, this isn’t new cause she’s had others call her that way as well, even her friends would do it to get her attention. She spoke up softly, hoping not to disturb the other one with her speaking up.

“Oh, hello there! It’s nice to meet you! You don’t have to whistle or click to get my attention. I can understand people.”
