We’re officially in the first week of 2017! In my continuous pursuit of creativity and entrepreneurship, I wanted to start my new year off reviewing the work of some peers that I admire and value words from various entrepreneurs from around the globe. Taking downtime a lot more seriously, I’m starting my own book club. No better time to start one than the first of the year, right?

Temi x Nigeria by Temi Coker

Watching Temi grow as a photographer has been extremely inspiring. His eagerness to learn and experiment with different techniques and willingness to give back to his community by teaching his skills to high school students is inspiring. This book is filled with images of Nigeria, a place we both call home.

Seasons by Lucy Dazilma

I love Lucy! No seriously, Lucy is truly one of the most amazing “internet friends” I’ve met. Her new book Seasons is a continuation of her lifestyle blog, Lucy’s Pearls. In her book, she discusses different life lessons she’s learned on faith, love, friendship and much more.

Tools of Titans by Tim Ferriss

Tim Ferriss became one of my favorite writers and entrepreneurs in 2014 when I first read The 4 Hour Work Week.  Reading that book taught me a lot about goal setting. His personal philosophy is built upon a Grecian poet, Archilochus:  “We don’t rise to the level of our expectations; we fall to the level of our training.” Tools of Titans is a book filled with life lessons and tactics on how a range of billionaires and successful entrepreneurs became successful.

What books are you reading this month? Send me some recommendations.
