@wyrdify asked:

+ what do you like to do for fun?

“Oh my I’m afraid I have not done anything for leisure in some time, but when I was a boy - Ah even then I did not have muchfree time but when I didI loved to read. I would read whatever book I could get my hands on anything and everything from fiction to textbooks.  Medical journals to fantasy, I did not care. I simply lovedto read. I also greatly enjoy painting.  I love to paint and to draw. I love to dance as well. I can sing too! Oh and I love to do so but … I have not done so in some time.

I also - I had a habit of running off to the ruins that were scattered through the kingdom. I had to … sneak out though. Getting past most of the palace guards was always easy but getting past Revon was … not.  My mist trick only worked so many times and then I had to start getting creative. Revon would also next to never remove his mask due to the nature of his own mist.

But I loved  to explore and learn about everything that was left by those before us. I adored it. I would - I would explore Wonderland more but I’m afraid I just no longer have the time.”

1. What does your muse smell like?

Kumo smells like the fresh dew on a misty morning. He smells like the wind and a clear sky. He almost smell likes petrichor.

2. What do your muse’s hands feel like?

They’re rough but oddly soft. Most of his hand and his palms are actually quite soft but the the mounts on his palms below his fingers are calloused over from wielding The Maken.

3. What does your muse usually eat in a day?

It kinda sucks to put it like this but it’s true. Really whatever he can gets his hands on. He’s traveling around Wonderland near constant and if that means he has to go hunting for food he will. If it means he can buy something for a town he’s wandering through at the moment he’ll take advantage of it with whatever funds he has on him at the time. It’s all very sporadic and he’s gone days without eating simply because of circumstance.

4. Does your muse have a good singing voice?

Absolutely.  Singing was a common hobby and activity on Misterica and Kumo’s voice is exceptional. He doesn’t sing anymore though even if it was once one of his favorite things to do.

5. Does your muse have any bad habits or nervous ticks?

Kumo is made of nervous ticks. He’ll pick at the skin under his nails or just pick around them when he’s nervous. If his mask is on, he’ll chew on his bottom lip. He is someone who will bounce his leg when he’s setting or rock his weight back and forth from side to side if he’s standing still for too long. Depending on his company he might go from standing to floating. He crosses his arms over his chest a lot and hides his hands when  he does so.

As for bad habits? Even if he can do days without bathing it’s circumstance, he doesn’t like it. He likes taking care of himself but sometimes it’s not in the cards. When he’s nervous or anxious he can ramble.  Both a tick and a bad habit is that he overly apologizes for everything. Kumo will apologize for looking at someone wrong and he automatically thinks he’sthe one at fault no matter what happens or what occurred he blames himself first. He also has next to no capacity to utter the word “No.”   Oh yeah, and he’s insanely self sacrificial.

I had him get referred to as having a “Disposability Complex” and that couldn’t be more true. Kumo thinks little of his own life and is more than willing to throw himself on the fire if it mean saving someone else. His life is an immortal one, so he’ll revive no matter what happens to him.  So die for someone else? He won’t even think twice.

6. What does your muse usually look like / wear?

Kumo is wearing the last remnants of Misterican style and prefer clothing that is lightweight and airy. He next to never ever wears a color other than white. Excluding  his sielun värit (colors of the soul) which is the choker around his neck. It is a reflection of the colors of his soul and it is a culturalthing.  The colors are supposed to be in reflection of that of the Celestial Mother, Lady Tiamat and he wears them in mark that he is her Holy Vessel. The long tail on his sielun värit is the only one to ever have such in all of Misterica. It was in symbol of the body of the Celestial Mother.

7. Is your muse affectionate?  How much?  How so?

Kumo can be affectionate but it’s through actions more than words. He is affection through words but only to certain people and dependent on how close he is to them.  A Misterican show of affection is also rubbing their horns against a loved one’s or their cheek softly. Kumo does this to nearly no one.  In fact he’s very strict about anyoneever touching his horns. It’s a huge noin his book.  If he brushes his horns against you then he really cares about you.

8. What position does your muse sleep in?

Kumo sleeps on his side with his sword in his arms as close to his chest as he can manage.

9. Could you hear your muse in the hallway from another room?

Absolutely not. Not is he insanely light on his feet, if he wants to be stealthyhe’ll simply float.Kumo uses stealth the most when he fights and is basically a ghostly assassin.

+ Stars/Constellations

also his thoughts on stringed instruments

(A curious question/s from Tim)

“Oh they are quite beautiful, no? I often find myself at peace when the sky turns dark and it becomes a canvas of cosmic glitter. To find patterns within their paths is a very human trait. Misterica did not partake in such a thing. We did not see to find ways to see our stories etched in the heavens because we are born of them. Sky Child do not long for the sky you see. We are the Sky.  I am one with that glittering canvas for from the Celestial Mother I was born.

To think we all exist within the grand plane that she bestowed upon us. To see the night’s sky is truly a glance at seeing her splendor. That cosmic twinkle that exists above our heads in an inky black canvas is the Celestial Mother’s masterpiece laid out for her children and the ground bound alike to gaze upon her majesty.”

“As for stringed instruments I very much enjoy them. Did you know we Mistericans can mimic the sound with our mist?  Most stringed instruments can be mimicked with a task known as Mist Plucking and it is when a Misterican releases a steady breath and on the strings of our Mist we mimic the sound of it’s vibration we can mimic the sound of a stringed instrument. It takes intense focus and much practice to be able to perform so it was not a commontrait and most would just stick to a standard version of the instrument. Every color makes it’s own vibrations and sounds you see so they all sound different.

The Instrument one could mimic was dependent on the color of their mist you see. This is also why most just struck to a standard version of the instrument in question, and as I’m sure you’re well aware there were just some instruments - non stringed that we could not mimic with such a feat. I think they are quite beautiful however. I adore the sound of a beautiful arrangement melding together.”

@galeleads asked:

+ family

“Family? I - I miss them. I miss all of them. I miss Father and Mother and Brother. I miss … even though they were not of my blood Opettaja Valo and Revon and Safiirin - I miss them as well.  They were not of my blood but they spent so much time with me they may as well have been. Revon was at my side near my every waking moment. He was my personal guard so it was his job to do so but I fear this blurs the line of professionalism but I loved him. He was like a second father to me.

Revon spent more time with me than most of my family. I spent a lot of time with Safiirin as well. She was Brother’s guard and since we were almost always together naturally that means both of our guards were present. There was a time once - when Brother and I were fighting and he refuses to speak to me. I could not understand Brother’s point of view or his feelings on the subject nor could he understand mine.

He was - frustratedbecause I would not stand up for myself and yell back when the Piipsa spoke to me disrespectfully.  He was frustratedbecause despite not wanting to dosome of the things the Religious Council required of me, I would simply obey what they asked of me silently instead of expressing my opinion on the matter.  I tried to explain to him why I was approaching the situation in question the way I was but instead he just grew cross with me and yelled at me instead.

There was a time when Revon and Safiirin traded charges for a moment to speak to us both privately. They needed to help us both come to an understanding of the other’s point of view. I suppose in a way you could say Revon and Safiirin were not just our personal guards but also like an Uncle or an Aunt to us. I love them both. They were always with us, no matter what - so I grew quite fond of them.

And Opettaja Valo, he was  - just my literature and history professor but he was also … like family. I saw him nearly every day and he would always pause lessons or listen to me when I needed it. I was never just the holy vessel to any of them. I was more than just the prince. They were like family to me.

is that odd?”
